This course is the intentional evolution of my original R2RPRO from 2021. It’s bigger, deeper, and more inclusive—because pregnant, postpartum, and perimenopausal runners deserve more than cookie-cutter guidelines and recycled talking points.

And here’s the truth: no one else is talking about the pelvic floor in this way. Not just as an isolated muscle group, but as part of running performance, injury risk, and whole-body load management across every stage of a woman’s life.

A big part of my drive to put this content out there is that it simply didn’t exist when I needed it. I had to navigate my own pelvic floor issues running in pregnancy (and stopping when I didn’t want to), my return to running after three pregnancies and two deliveries, and now my current venture through perimenopause. But this isn’t just a “I did it, so you can too” story. This comes from 25+ years in the pelvic health space—problem-solving with both the easy and the complex clients in clinic every single day.

Here’s the thing—we may not have all the answers (yet), but we can be evidence-informed, critical thinkers, and true problem-solvers. We can collaborate with our clients and the rest of the support team to see what’s possible for the person in front of us. Especially in a world full of misinformation, weekend “experts” who had a baby and now claim they can fix everyone’s problems, and cookie-cutter advice without credentials or context. Knowing the evidence, knowing what we don’t know, and understanding where possibility exists is how we help moms make informed choices and set realistic expectations.

How I treat today looks nothing like how I practiced 12 months ago, 18 months ago, or 5 years ago—and it’s light years away from how we navigated pelvic floor issues back when I was having my own kids in the early 2010s. A Little About Me

(and Why You Can Trust Me With Your Runners

I’m Dr. Carrie Pagliano—physical therapist, runner (since 7th grade), mom of two, and someone who’s been in the pelvic health and orthopedic trenches for 25+ years.

I’ve been where you are: trying to make sense of pelvic floor symptoms in athletes when there were no guidelines, no frameworks, and no roadmap. I navigated running through pregnancy (and stopping when I didn’t want to), came back after three pregnancies and two deliveries (that’s a story), and now I’m headfirst into perimenopause and beyond.

Meanwhile, I’ve built a career treating patients in the clinic every week, mentoring clinicians, teaching internationally, and drinking from the research firehose—talking with the people writing the papers (catch them on the Active Mom Podcast!), pulling insights from running medicine, and applying it in real time.
