A big part of my drive to put this content out there is that it simply didnât exist when I needed it. I had to navigate my own pelvic floor issues running in pregnancy (and stopping when I didnât want to), my return to running after three pregnancies and two deliveries, and now my current venture through perimenopause. But this isnât just a âI did it, so you can tooâ story. This comes from 25+ years in the pelvic health spaceâproblem-solving with both the easy and the complex clients in clinic every single day.

(and Why You Can Trust Me With Your Runners
Iâm Dr. Carrie Paglianoâphysical therapist, runner (since 7th grade), mom of two, and someone whoâs been in the pelvic health and orthopedic trenches for 25+ years.
Iâve been where you are: trying to make sense of pelvic floor symptoms in athletes when there were no guidelines, no frameworks, and no roadmap. I navigated running through pregnancy (and stopping when I didnât want to), came back after three pregnancies and two deliveries (thatâs a story), and now Iâm headfirst into perimenopause and beyond.
